Cell Therapy R&D

Research-grade cell culture, process verification and clinician training build the technical foundation ahead of clinical application.

Research culture and process verification

Research culture and process verification

The OCELLBIO laboratory does not culture or openly manipulate cells intended for clinical administration. It is a space for non-clinical work such as media comparison, post-thaw viability testing, and technical understanding and advance verification of manufacturing processes.

The research zone is operated with access routes, equipment and consumables fully separated from the clinical cell storage zone, and every research-use product is kept labeled as not for human administration.

Mesenchymal stem cell technology

Mesenchymal stem cell technology

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from bone marrow, adipose tissue and umbilical cord (Wharton's jelly) possess self-renewal and multipotency, and are studied as a core material in regenerative medicine through the homing effect that draws them to damaged sites and the paracrine effect by which they secrete growth factors and cytokines.

Umbilical cord-derived MSCs in particular are collected non-invasively and obtained in a state where cellular aging has barely progressed, and are reported to retain proliferative and differentiation capacity for longer.

Clinician training and protocols

Clinician training and protocols

We run training programs for partner clinic staff covering collection kit use, labeling, specimen packaging, handover procedures, pre-thaw verification, adverse event reporting, distinguishing research-use from clinical-use cells, and standards for medical advertising language.

This website is intended to introduce OCELLBIO's business. OCELLBIO Inc. was incorporated in August 2026 and is currently building out its headquarters facility; the facility and equipment specifications shown are design-stage figures and will be finalized during construction and verification. Culture, quality testing and batch release of clinical-grade cells are performed by manufacturing facilities licensed under the applicable regulations, while OCELLBIO is responsible for the storage, logistics and quality documentation of cells handled in sealed condition. Specific terms of cooperation are provided on request.
