Storing the youngest cells you will ever have
Cells age with time. Cells collected and cryopreserved today can be used in the future in exactly the condition they are in now. OCELLBIO operates long-term storage services for patient cell storage demand from partner clinics.
Multi-tier storage
Temperature ranges are managed separately according to product characteristics and storage duration. Quarantined versus released product, autologous versus allogeneic cells, and normal versus returned or temperature-excursion product are each stored in physically separated locations.
- Vapor-phase liquid nitrogen storage tanks
- -80β ultra-low freezers (primary unit plus emergency backup)
- -20β freezer / 2β8β medical refrigerators
- Independent per-tank temperature monitoring and door-open alarms
- Oxygen depletion sensors and forced ventilation
- UPS and emergency power, 24-hour remote surveillance
Storage agreements and scope of responsibility
Storage duration, fees, release procedures on patient request, handling on termination of the storage agreement and transfer of cells on business succession are all set out in the contract. Storage begins only after ownership of the cells β from the moment of collection through final administration β has been confirmed in writing.
